Working in the agency world, and dealing with WordPress and other frameworks a lot, this outlook is refreshing:
I’m not actually saying your shitty site should look like this. What I’m saying is that all the problems we have with websites are ones we create ourselves. Websites aren’t broken by default, they are functional, high-performing, and accessible. You break them. You son-of-a-bitch.
Most of our problems as web developers can be solved by simplicity in approach. The most basic of websites are often the most functional and compatible, and the website linked above is a good example of the extreme look at that scenario.
